Articles, such as this, are great for creating awareness. Being aware, is not enough. We need our key people – Scientists, inventors, researchers, engineers, government, etc., to get the job done. The world is covered under a Pretoleum blanket. It needs to get out from under it. The planet is now being smothered by it. We still need oil. Hopefully, we can evolve past this need, in a relatively short period of time. Relatively, being the operative word.
A comment was made, on this article: Indefinite oil spill (again). No one even knows the source yet. Nice. The oil industry can’t prevent accidents from happening, that effect wildlife. Wildlife is killed, or adversely effected but humans will ultimately pay a dear price. There is a good action film with Steven Seagal (On Deadly Ground). It is a movie but offers a good message. If you don’t watch the movie, listen to the commentary at the end of the movie. Transitioning away from oil is the only and righteous thing to do. As per history, other countries may not do the same thing right away but will, once Americans are seen enjoying the positive effects and increased standard of living. Of course, America will step up and assist them.
